【摘要】:Thegrowthoffungiandalgaeinandonthesurfaceofpaintfilmsrepresentsamajorcauseofdiscolorationordisfigurementofpaintedsurfaces.Becauseoftheirdarkpigmentation,itisfrequentlydifficulttodistinguishfungiandalgaefromsoilordirtparticles.Theuseofmagnificationofasmuchas100x00D7;affordseasydistinguishabilityamongfungalspores,fungalmycelia,algae,anddirtandisrecommendedincaseswheresuchdifficultyisapparent.Dirtaccumulationobservedonspecimenscanoccurmorereadilywithcoatingsformulatedatlowerpigmentvolumeconcentrationorthosecontainingsofterresins.UseofPhotographicStandards:34.3.1Thephotographicreferencestandardsthatarepartofthistestmethodareforillustrationpurposesandshouldbeusedforvisualcomparisons.4.3.2ThephotographicstandardsillustratedinFig.4ratethedisfigurementofpaintfilmsfrom0to8.Aratingof10wouldindicateafilmtotallyabsentofdisfigurementbyparticulatematter.4.3.3Theratingsusedinthisstandardmorecloselymatchanonlinearscale.FIG.4DisfigurementRatings1.1Thephotographicreferencestandardsavailableforusewiththistestmethodprovideanumericalbasisforratingthedegreeoffungalandalgalgrowthorsoilanddirtaccumulationonpaintfilms.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
