【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesprinciplesofevaluatingseismicactionsfortheseismicdesignofbuildings,towers,chimneysandsimilarstructures.Someoftheprinciplescanbereferredtofortheseismicdesignofstructuressuchasbridges,dams,harbourinstallations,tunnels,fuelstoragetanks,chemicalplantsandconventionalpowerplants.TheprinciplesspecifiedinthisInternationalStandarddonotcovernuclearpowerplants,sincethesearedealtwithseparatelyinotherInternationalStandards.Inregionswheretheseismichazardislow,methodsofdesignforstructuralintegritymaybeusedinlieuofmethodsbasedonaconsiderationofseismicactions.ThisInternationalStandardisnotalegallybindingandenforceablecode.Itcanbeviewedasasourcedocumentthatisutilizedinthedevelopmentofcodesofpracticebythecompetentauthorityresponsibleforissuingstructuraldesignregulations.NOTE1ThisInternationalStandardhasbeenpreparedmainlyforengineeredstructures.Theprinciplesare,however,applicabletonon-engineeredstructures.NOTE2Thequalificationofthelevelofseismichazardthatwouldbeconsideredlowdependsonnotonlytheseismicityoftheregionbutotherfactors,includingtypesofconstruction,traditionalpractices,etc.Methodsofdesignforstructuralintegrityincluderegionaldesignhorizontalforceswhichprovideameasureofprotectionagainstseismicactions.
